Longarm Services

I'm available

by appointment:  Tuesday - Saturday

10:00AM - 5:00PM

I have a Computerized Handi Quilter Forte 24" longarm on a 12 foot frame.  This will handle anything from placemats up to a king size quilt.  The wider quilting area allows me to use larger patterns that flow in any direction.  Since the patterns are digital, I can size the pattern according to the size of your project.  The glide foot does exactly that!  It will help the needle glide over seams that are a little thicker without skipping or double stitching.  You don't have to be an expert quilter or a perfectionist with your iron to get an amazing stitch with your quilt pattern.  I do have a dedicated quilting studio that is pet free.

I do not accept custom quilting jobs.  I do not accept t-shirt quilts, applique quilts, or vintage quilts.  Thank you for your understanding.

How much does it cost?

I am trying to have a less complicated price structure.  Here are the goods/services that are included with the base price.

* Polyester threads in solid colors from OMNI or GLIDE are included at no additional charge.  I have

an extensive collection.  If I don't have your specific color, I will get it at no additional charge.  Keep    in mind that availability from the manufacture may present a delay.

* Hobbs batting options:  100% cotton (unbleached), 80/20 Poly Blend (natural), 80/20 Poly Blend

(bleached white), and 80/20 Poly Blend (black) are included at no additional charge.  One layer of

batting is included.  If you want two layers, there will be a charge for the second layer.

* All quilting patterns are the same price.  There is not an additional charge for complex patterns.

* No charge for trimming threads or ironing. (I only iron when absolutely necessary.)

* No set up fees.

* I square and trim the quilt at no additional charge.

* If you do not select a binding option, I will sew a straight stitch 1/8" from the edge to help keep the

quilting from unraveling at no additional charge.

* If you cannot find the quilting pattern you would like to use on my website, I will do my best to find it

for you.  I do not charge for adding new patterns to my quilting library.  However, I reserve the right

to decline a pattern for whatever reason.

The base price for quilting is 2.5 cents per square inch.

To calculate your base price, multiply the width X length of your quilt. This gives you the number of square inches. Take this number and multiply it by $0.025 in order to get the base price for your quilt.

For Example. A quilt measures a width of 60 inches and a length of 80 inches.

60 X 80 = 4800 Therefore, the quilt has 4,800 square inches.

Now take the square inches (4,800) and multiply by the price ($0.025).

4,800 X $0.025 = $120 The base price for the example quilt is $120.

Now you can select which add-on options you want from the store below to upgrade your order.  Add- on options are priced as a flat fee and do not vary with the size of your quilt.  I hope this makes it easier to compare what you are getting when you choose me to quilt your tops.

Specialty Thread $15

This includes cotton, variegated, metallic, clear, and glow-in-the-dark threads.

Create Straight Binding $10

If you would like, I can create your straight binding out of the provided fabric.

Attach Pre-made Binding - One side only  $5

Just let me know whether to attach it to the front or the back, and I gotcha taken care of.  It's nice to know you only have to sew one side when

    you get your quilt back.

Basting Your Quilt Sandwhich - $40

You have a quilt that you would like to quilt yourself, but you could use a hand getting all those layers lined up?  Let me baste it for you.

Shipping is not included in the price.  Please include a return shipping label with your quilt top, or I can quote USPS prices for you when the quilt is finished.  Keep in mind that your quilt top will be larger once it is quilted since it has the batting in it.  I recommend using a large enough box to get your quilt back home.
